Location: British Columbia, Canada
Outfitter: Silent Mountain Outfitters
Guide: Tom Kotlarz
Quantity of bears: Saw around 5 different bears daily.
Trophy size: ranges from 5-6 feet from nose to tail, so not massive size, but lots of bears, and chances for a big bear are possible.
Type of hunt: Mostly road hunting, but can request spot and stalk if that is what you prefer.
Environment: In logging country, thick timber except for clear cuts and avalanche slides, terrain can get very steep in the higher elevations.
Difficulty: Range from low to hard difficulty-This hunt can be done mostly from the roads so physical shape isn't a huge barrier. However, this is steep terrain so being more physically ready can greatly increase the area you can truly hunt.
Price: $3,950 for a 5-day hunt
Experience: This hunt is in some of the most beautiful mountain country in the heart of British Columbia. With an awesome camp-life atmosphere, you get the feeling you're on a family hunting trip. The guides are very knowledgeable and know the area very well. I was blown away by the amount of bears we saw. My dad and I filled our tags without a struggle. I got a great bear and made memories that will last a life time.
Definitely recommend Silent Mountain Outfitters.
